This AC multidrive is specifically designed to address the evolving needs of South African OEMs, providing them with a highly flexible and scalable multidrive solution in a compact form factor.
The MD800 features a modular design that enables up to eight drives to be powered by a single rectifier on one rack, with energy sharing through a common DC bus. With comprehensive functionality, including individual Safe Torque Off (STO) on each drive, the MD800 can control both PM and induction motors using a single software package. The product also offers a +24 V DC control backup supply and a wide range of fieldbus and I/O expansion option cards.
Not only is the MD800 highly cost-effective, but it also significantly reduces the total cost of ownership. Its user-friendly pluggable connectors slash installation costs, while reduced wiring and fewer external components lead to faster build times. Built to withstand the harshest industrial environments, the MD800 is equipped with 3C3 and 3S2 conformal coating, operates within a temperature range of -20 to 60°C, handles altitudes of up to 4000 meters, and features a separate cooling channel for the heatsink.
